Detailed Daily Plan

Day 1: Tracking the Giants at Ziwa Your adventure begins with a drive north to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This is the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild. You will track these majestic creatures on foot with an expert ranger. Afterward, we begin the journey toward the southwest, enjoying the changing landscapes of Uganda’s countryside.

Day 2: The Ultimate Gorilla Encounter Enter the mist-covered Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After a safety briefing on gorilla trekking rules, you will head into the jungle. Finding the gorillas can take 2–6 hours, but the moment you stand feet away from a Silverback is life-changing. You have exactly one hour to observe their social bonds and feeding habits.

Day 3: The Equator and Departure After breakfast, we head back toward Entebbe. We make a celebrated stop at the Uganda Equator for photos and a water experiment. You will arrive in the late evening for your flight out or a drop-off at your hotel, concluding your 3-Day ziwa rhino and wildlife safari.

How This Trip Conserves Wildlife

By booking this 3-Day ziwa rhino and wildlife safari, you are a direct partner in African conservation:

  1. Rhino Reintroduction: Fees at Ziwa go directly toward the security and breeding program aimed at eventually reintroducing rhinos into Uganda’s larger National Parks.
  2. Gorilla Healthcare: A portion of your permit fee pays for the “Gorilla Doctors” who provide veterinary care to wild troops.
  3. Anti-Poaching: Tourism creates jobs for former poachers, who now earn a living as rangers and porters, protecting the animals they once hunted.
  4. Habitat Protection: Your visit gives the forest economic value, preventing it from being cleared for timber or agriculture.
