9 days gorilla Camp

The 9 days gorilla safari expedition takes you to the Bwindi Impenetrable national park and Kibale forest national park and on this safari you will experience the gorilla tours, Uganda wildlife tours and the chimpanzee trekking safari

Day1: Kampala-Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After your breakfast, meet the driver/guide and thereafter transfer to western Uganda via Masaka-Mbarara high way with en-route stop at the equator and en-route at Agip Motel. Thereafter drive to the gorilla sanctuary through this beautiful mountain scenery. You will reach Bwindi in the evening where you will check in at the Engagi Lodge/Mahogany Springs Lodge/Silver Back Lodge. Meal plan: H/B

Day2: Gorilla Safari Uganda

Have breakfast and briefing by park ranger guides. Carry parked lunch, embark on a 30 minutes – 8 hours trek hunting for the Mountain gorillas. The tracking starts at the spot where the gorillas were last seen the previous day. After a quite one hour observing the gorillas, return to your accommodations before going for the Community walk. Dinner and overnight as above, Meal plan: F/B

Day3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have breakfast and take early morning transfer to Queen National Park via the famous Ishasha southern sector known for the rare African tree climbing lions in the branches of the fig trees, later in early afternoon, head to the Mweya peninsula and stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/Enganzi Lodge/Bush Lodge, Meal plan: F/B

Day4: Kyambura Gorge Walk & Boat Ride

Rise before the sun and drive to Kyambura Gorge for a thrilling Chimpanzee safari. Your guided walk may last three to five hours and in addition to seeing the chimps, the trip may yield sightings of the colobus monkeys, baboons, red tailed and velvet monkeys, and other primates. Lunch, after head to Kazinga Channel for the afternoon launch cruise at the Kazinga channel where you may see a variety of wildlife, bird species including Flamingoes and aquatic animals like crocodiles and hippos. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Enganzi Lodge/Bush Lodge, Meal plan: F/B.

Day5: Queen Elizabeth-Kibale Forest National Park

Have breakfast, after look out for early grazers and hunters. These include hippos, elephants, lions, spotted hyenas and leopards, bushbuck, water buck and stripped jackal, and of course the several warthogs. Visit the saline explosions for the locally mined salts, the processes and people involved. See the role of women in this activity plus the risks at hand. Return to the lodge for lunch and then drive to Kibale Forest National Park through Fort-Portal. Drive along the scenic beauty of the Rwenzori ranges and the stretch of savanna grasslands. Admire the smoke from the Bakonjo homesteads and the glittering tiny iron sheet-roofs on the steep Rwenzori ranges. Dinner and overnight stay at Ndali Lodge/ Primate Lodge / Kibale Safari Lodge or Chimp Nest. Meal plan: F/B

Day6: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Walk

After early breakfast, report at Kanyanchu Tourist Centre where tourist activities begin and set out to track chimpanzee in the forest. Chances of viewing the chimps are over 90% but not a guarantee. Kibale National Park is one of the beautiful and stunning forests in the Uganda. This is home of our closest living relatives the endangered Chimpanzee, the threatened Red colobus monkey and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey. After lunch take on a nature walk to the wetlands. View a variety of butterflies, birds and other insects. Have a tour of the crater region around Ndali lodge. Visit the “natural bridge” and “top of the world”. You may also stop over at any tea plantation along the road if you wish. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at Ndali Lodge / Primate Lodge / Kibale Safari Lodge or Chimp Nest. Meal plan: F/B

Day7: Kibale Forest-Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, drive to Murchison Falls National Park with packed lunch en-route. Experience the endless stretch and beauty of undulating land forms of western Uganda, and then drive to Murchison Falls National Park. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/Murchison River Lodge/Barker’s Safari Lodge. Meal plan: F/B

Day8: Game Drive & Boat Ride

Early morning game drive on the Buligi track north of the river Nile. You are able to view those animals that are unique to the African Savannah like giraffe, antelope, lion, elephant, and the Uganda kob. May also visit Nyamisika cliffs with picnic breakfast (optional).After lunch; take on a launch cruise along the Nile River. The cruise takes to the Bottom of the thundering falls where you will see huge crocodiles, schools of hippos, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of water birds like herons, cormorants, ducks, bee-eaters, kingfishers, skimmers, fish eagle and the rare shoebill. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B


Day9: Murchison Falls-Kampala

On this day before you leave the park, take a drive to the “Top of the falls” for a breathtaking sight of the raging Nile as it forces its way through a rocky gap barely six meters wide. Proceed to Kampala with lunch en-route.
