This Trip’s Impact on Eco-Tourism and Wildlife Conservation

The 10 Days Water Rafting and Wildlife Safari is a high-octane adventure that balances thrill-seeking with deep environmental responsibility. Your participation supports:

  • Protecting the Source of the Nile: By engaging in white water rafting and boat cruises in Jinja, you provide an economic alternative to industrial over-development along the Nile. This helps keep the river’s ecosystem intact for its diverse birdlife and aquatic species.
  • Rhino Breeding & Security: The stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is vital for Uganda’s “Big Five” goals. Your tracking fees fund the 24-hour armed guards and veterinary care needed to protect the rhinos as they prepare for eventual reintroduction into the wild.
  • Funding the “Primate Capital”: Your trekking permits for Chimpanzees in Kibale Forest fund the management of one of the world’s densest primate populations. These funds support research, anti-poaching, and forest edge community projects.
  • Community-Led Conservation: In Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi national parks, 20% of your entrance fees are shared with local parishes. This ensures that the communities living on the front lines of conservation see tangible benefits in the form of clean water, schools, and health centers.
