Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe & Transfer to Kampala Serena Hotel

On this day, your designated driver guide will meet you at Entebbe international airport and you will embark on a scenic drive to Kampala city.

Depending on your arrival time, you will have a city tour, you will visit Gadhafi mosque, Kasubi tombs etc. 

Accommodation: Kampala Serena Hotel or Similar

Meals Plan: Half Board  

Day 2: Kampala City Cultural Tour & Historical Landmark

On this day you will have a heavy breakfast and prepare for a long busy day. You will visit,

Uganda Museum, Nakasero market, Lubiri Kabaka’s Palace, Namirembe Church among others.  

Accommodation: Kampala Serena Hotel or Similar

Meals Plan: Full Board      

Day 3: Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Sanctuary & Murchison Falls NP

After breakfast, you will drive to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking where you will track you these black and white Rhinos.

This sanctuary was established mainly to protect these rhinos from danger and poachers.

After rhino tracking, have your lunch and then  continue to Murchison falls National Park where you will check-in at the lodge for relaxation and overnight stay. 

Accommodation: Nile Safari Lode or Similar

Day 4: Murchison Falls Game Drive & Nile River Boat Cruise

Enjoy a morning game drive in the northern part of the park to catch a glimpse of some fascinating wildlife species.

Expect to encounter lions, jackals, leopard if you are lucky and many other mammals including buffaloes, Jackson’s hartebeest, topi, elephants, giraffes among others.

Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon go for boat cruise up to the bottom of the mighty falls which will expose you even to more wildlife such as crocodiles.

It will also expose you to the beautiful view of the narrow 8m wide rock fissure where water pushes through with high pressure forming the world’s strongest water fall. 

Later you will return to the lodge for an evening of relaxation and dinner

Day 5: Scenic Drive to Kibale Forest National Park

After a morning cup of coffee, hit the road ready to exit Murchison Falls national park. This drive will allow you to catch up with early raisers including the cats as they return from the night hunt. Plenty of wildlife in this area may captivate you on this early morning drive. This will be a 

6-7 hours’ drive with a lunch stopover in Fort portal 

Once in Kibale national park, you will proceed to the lodge where dinner will be served and you will stay the night. 

Accommodation: Ndali Lodge or Similar

Meal plan: Full board  

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale & Bigodi Wetland Walk

After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters at Kanyanchu for briefing before you proceed to track man’s closest relative of all the apes- the chimpanzees.

These will take you between 4-6 hours to find and once you find them you will be allowed 1 hour in their presence watching them go about their way of life.

After tracking, return to the lodge for lunch. 

After lodge, you will headout for the Bigodi wetland walk-4.5km walk along the rich wildlife corridor of Kibale forest.

This is a 3 hours walk that allows you to interact closely with the forest and spot a number of bird species such as the Kingfishers

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari & Evening Game Drive

After a restful night, a rise to a tasty breakfast at the lodge then along with your driver guide set of for yet another scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth national park.

You will arrive in Queen Elizabeth national park just in time for lunch and enjoy some hours of relaxing 

Later in the evening go out for a game drive which will allow you spot a number of wildlife species in this park such as elephants, Topi, lions, leopards, among others. 

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Meal plan: Full board 

Day 8: Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise & Savannah Game Drive

Early morning, breakfast will be served at the lodge then you can pick up a packed lunch before heading out for a morning game drive.

During this you will spot wildlife such as lions, elephants, leopards, hyenas, among others. In the afternoon, take a break in the park and enjoy a beautiful picnic lunch in the wild.  

After lunch, proceed for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel during which you enjoy the beautiful breeze over the water and spot wildlife such as elephants, hippos, crocodiles and buffaloes. 

Return in the evening to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay

Meal plan: Full board  

Day 9: Ishasha Wildlife Game Drive & Transfer to Bwindi

Early morning, arise to a nutritious breakfast, and check out of the lodge then head out for an early morning game drive and enjoy some more wildlife viewing.

Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a lunch stopover en route.

This will be about a 7 hours’ drive through the undulating hills and the amazing landscapes therefore arrival in Bwindi will be in the evening. 

Once at the lodge, you will check in, freshen up and settle down for dinner before taking your day’s rest.

Meal plan: Full board  

Day 10: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Batwa Cultural Experience

On this day you will have a great time meeting with the mountain Gorilla of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

After breakfast, pick up a packed lunch from the lodge then your driver guide will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. 

After briefing you will be grouped into 8 then in your group you will penetrate the forest in search of these huge, gentle, magnificent though endangered species.

This will take 4-6 hours then you will spend 1 hour with them upon locating them. 

After return to the starting point where you will meet your driver guide and return to the lodge where you will enjoy an afternoon of relaxation. Dinner will be served at the lodge before taking the night’s rest. Later in the evening, you will visit Batwa people for community experience. s

Day 11: Lake Mburo National Park & Luxury Boat Safari

After a restful night, wake up to a breakfast at the lodge then checked out and get back on the road for Lake Mburo national park-the smallest savanna parks in Uganda.

This drive will take you between 5-6 hours and you will arrive in Lake Mburo just in time for lunch. After lunch, head out to the lake for a boat cruise.

This will take roughly 2 hours then you will return to the lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner and overnight stay. 

Accommodation: Kigambira Safari Lodge or Similar

Meal plan: Full board 

Day 12: Morning Wildlife Safari & Equator Crossing to Entebbe

 Early morning, wake up to a breakfast at the lodge then proceed to a morning game drive.

This will give you about 4 hours of wildlife viewing during which you will spot wildlife such as Zebras, giraffes, elands, impalas, waterbucks, and a variety of bird species. 

After the wildlife viewing, continue with your drive to Entebbe with a lunch stopover en route. You will also have a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe for some photos. 

End of tour.
