Active Uganda Safaris is a trade name for Active African Vacations a premier tour operation agency based in Kampala, Uganda. We are a local travel agency organizing safaris in East Africa. We have created these magical journeys in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania and Congo for the past six years.

Conservation

We care for nature and take utmost care not to disturb it, maintaining a high degree of ecological sensitivity in our tours. Fully embracing the principle of “Leave back no Garbage”, we carry back all our non-biodegradable waste and also clean up the litter left behind by other visitors.  We minimize the use of plastic on nature camps and treks, discourage the wasteful consumption of deadwood and water, and use biodegradable soaps and detergents so as to avoid contamination of the eco-system of the wild.   Wherever we go, we encourage maximum local participation and engagement thus creating sustainable economic alternatives to natural resource exploitation.                                                                                                                                      You may choose to help directly at the grass-root level in small ways, which will make a big difference to the area you visited.
