Detailed Itinerary of the 3 Days (2023) Gorillas & Golden Monkey Tracking Safari

Day 1 : Kigali City Tour then Visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village

Arrive at the Kigali International Airport where you get picked up by a company driver guide. He briefs you about the Gorilla Trekking procedure then after leads you on a precise  City Tour around Kigali City. On your city Tour, explore and visit the Genocide Memorials, National Museums, National Market etc and  later break off for lunch then go to the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village for unique Cultural Encounters as you engage in varying safari activities involving  traditional art, Music, Dance and Drama.

After Iby’Iwachu Cultural Adventure, proceed to check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Have delicious early breakfast then proceed to the park headquarters of Volcanoes for short briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas. 

On reaching here, you are provided with a hot cup of coffee for refreshment then later you are welcomed then allocated in groups of 8 with a park ranger guide to lead you into the forest. 

Enter the forest to trek the Mountain Gorillas in their natural forest vegetation habitat for 3-5 hours then later when you meet them, an hour is allowed to stay in their presence taking photos to keep.

After your Gorilla Trekking Adventure, return back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking then Departure

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to be briefed on the Dos and Don’ts around the Golden Monkeys in their forest habitat then later in groups with a skilled ranger guide, penetrate the forest and track the Golden Monkeys for 2-4 hours then later transfer back to the head quarters where you leave from to Kigali international Airport to board your flight back home.
