1 Day Ziwa Rhino Tracking Safari conveys you to the home of wild Rhinos in Uganda situated almost 100 miles away from Kampala Metropolitan area on the Gulu highway towards the Murchison falls National Park. The sanctuary is 70km2 surrounded by a 2-meter electric fence to secure the Rhinos from intruders. Other than Rhinos, the sanctuary is home to a variety of other animals and birds. The 1 Day Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary starts with an early morning breakfast and then pickup from your hotel/residence at 7:00a.m. The transfer lasts about 3-4 hours in a 4×4 van or Landcruiser, depending on the traffic flow, leading to Nakasongola where the sanctuary is located, from which you will be received by a team of highly trained rangers who will also guide you through the tracking expedition and give you information about the history of the sanctuary. During the Rhino tracking, not only expect to see the White Rhinos but also other mammals like Antelopes, Hippos, Crocodiles among others, different bird species including the famous Shoe-bill Stork. You will enjoy a 2-3 hours face to face experience with the Rhinos, take pictures of them and of all the fauna to keep in memory of the participation then return to meet your driver. After tracking the Ziwa Rhinos, you begin your journey back to Kampala along which you can have a stop at one of the restaurants for lunch before heading back to your residence.
